lyrics

Self-styled leader
Breaking all the rules
I have to wonder
What brought you here?
A futile system
Its flaws brought out
Now you seek to make it
A feudal system

What is the connection between you and our adversaries?
How can I trust what you say when all you speak are lies?
Belief in this process used to run so deep for me
Confidence eroded by this constant state of fear
It is hard for me to think that all this chaos has been caused by
Who is meant to lead our country, a fresh new face in the scene
As each new day passes by my sense of dread grows more and more
Much as I do hate to say it you should be kicked out the door
You will have to pay for all this damage you are causing

My only respite: walking, biking, or running away
Have to find a way to clear my mind
Otherwise confusion’s all I find
When I focus on your actions
Anger and frustration take over
All my life I’ve cared about justice
But never have I felt the need to act
You need to step back and survey
All the damage you are causing
Breaking apart entire families
With your impersonal orders
What you’re doing doesn’t even make sense
Your own family migrated
Your ancestors aren’t from this land
And although that’s not a bad thing
You need to stop punishing others
Whose experiences are like your family’s
Put away hypocrisy
Pave the way for honesty
Start to care about humanity
Start to care about humanity

What is the connection between you and our adversaries?
How can I trust what you say when all you speak are lies?
Belief in this process used to run so deep for me
Confidence eroded by this constant state of fear

Fear
Fear
Fear
Fear
Fear
Fear
Fear
Fear
